About us

CORE is a cooperative of engineers (students) and professional partners. We work on sustainable energy related topics and transfer ideas to the realization of projects.

Sustainable energy use is the efficient and sustainable use of energy. It means doing as much (or more) with less energy. Our projects therefore have the objective to reduce primary energy use.

The projects carried out by CORE are divided into four work areas. The first is circular economy. The aim of circular economics is to continue to use materials and products of the highest quality in the economy. A second domain in which CORE is active is blue heat. In these projects CORE uses innovative techniques to extract heat from water. The third domain is energy studies. CORE provides insight and advice to cities and individuals on their energy use. The fourth domain, education, focuses on informing and inspiring young people, students and teachers about sustainable energy use.

Our organisation

Our vision makes it very clear that we pay great attention to the cooperative form of entrepreneurship. In our opinion, a cooperative is the way to do entrepreneurship and innovation responsibly.

CORE is an autonomous organization of associates and partners who work together to achieve a common need or ambition. This is possible by jointly owning an enterprise that is democratically controlled.

CORE cv has been recognized by the NRC, the National Council of Cooperatives, since 2014. We are a cooperative that works according to the ICA principles.

CORE is also a cooperative with a social purpose. In concrete terms, this means that 30% of the net profit is invested in projects with a social purpose. Read our statutes here.
